Data expert with an analytical eye: Michal is our new business and data analyst

What is your role at Linkyard and what will your work look like?

I work as a business analyst and data analyst. My job is to take up technical requirements, structure them and translate them into feasible solutions. In doing so, I support clients in managing digitization programs and implement data-driven decision-making bases.

Describe your career path

Data is my good friends. They are the common thread in my career.

I studied business informatics and completed a master's degree at the University of St. Gallen. I gained my first professional experience in the financial sector, with a focus on data analysis and customer communication. I then gained valuable data analysis skills in public administration at the Statistical Office of the Canton of Zurich. I then worked in consulting for the MedTech sector, where I analyzed market and process data. Most recently, I worked as a data analyst at a Swiss online casino. There I developed forecasting models and dashboards for management.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

With my analytical mindset, I drive digitization forward.

What do you enjoy about your free time?

Before I became a father of two, I worked in the theatre as a stage manager. That's how I ensured that everything went smoothly behind the scenes. Today I'm happy when everything goes smoothly in my family. If the children allow it, I play basketball or I play with them directly with all kinds of balls. However, this is more likely not to be rule-based. I am also interested in digital topics, such as the development of robots in collaboration with artificial intelligence.

Is a question that doesn't have an answer still a question?

Yes, absolutely. It is precisely these kinds of questions that make us humans do research.
